2006 Conference in Bialystok, Poland

Andrzej and Jola My son, Pete Beck III, Pastor of Liberty Church in Burlington, NC, and I were invited to come as a follow up to the 2005 trip. The purpose was to further relationships and to meet with several leaders in the eastern part of Poland for a leadership conference. We were invited by Andrzej Nedzusiak seen pictured above with his wife, Jola in a restaurant in Warsaw.  Andrzej is an apostolic brother in Warsaw who is a Son of the Kingdom (Matt 13:38). Pete III Above is a shot of my son, Pete, preaching during the conference. Our translator, Martin, is a very sharp and well-educated young man. The conference was attended by some six pastors and some of their leaders and was sponsored by the church in Bialystok. A picture of Pastor Gola and  one of the leaders in his church is below.

Below is yours truly preaching at the same conference with the same young man translating.

The next day, Sunday, I went about 50 miles north to a small church for the Sunday service. The pastor is the balding man in the center of the picture below. He is a professor at the university there. He has been very faithful in extremely difficult circumstances. We pray for him and his son (the young man in the rear with the long hair).

Small Church

Back in Warsaw, we visited a large and terrific Christian school run by faith and subsidized by several churches under the covering of Andrzej and his pastor friends. We were extremely impressed by the dedication of the people running the school and the quality we saw there. Our church in Burlington is setting aside money to help support that school.

Pete III and I were treated to a tour of historical sights in Warsaw including the Museum of the Warsaw Uprising and spent a wonderful evening in the old city with Andrzej and his wife, before departing for America the next morning.
